How often should I clean my gun?
Depends on the gun.
It’s helpful to gauge the amount of carbon that builds up over time, and where it builds up. Plan your cleanings around that.
Where can I find my gun's serial number?
If the firearm is of the AR platform (one of Eugene Stoner’s designs), it’s on the left side of the lower receiver. Most rifles, it’s on the left side of the receiver. Same with shotguns. Handguns it’s usually on the slide.
Revolvers, it can be anywhere.
What does a gunsmith do?
That’s extremely particular to the gunsmith.
The best way to learn is to ask.

Can you do stock refinishing?
I’ve had some practice restoring firearm furniture. It’s helpful if you know what kind of wood your stock is and what color you want it to be.

Depends on the gun. And what’s wrong with it.
Diagnosis is usually quick, and I can get back to you in a day or two. Ordering parts can take a while.

Cost for cleaning ranges from $40-$70, dependent upon labor and complexity. Discounts available for bringing in multiple guns at the same time.
